10 Indian Reality Shows That Were Pulled Off Air For Being Awful!

Here's taking a look at all the reality shows that failed to impress us, because there’s a limit to the amount of drama even we can take in.

1. Sawal Dus Crore Ka (2000)

Much like Kaun Banega Crorepati, this show offered its audience a chance to come on the show, test their general knowledge and take home an insane amounts of money. However, despite having a prize money that was ten times the money offered by KBC, the show didn't make it to another season. The first and only season was hosted by Anupam Kher and Manisha Koirala.

2. Jeeto Chappar Phaad Ke (2001)

We love free money, right? Wrong! This show that was hosted by Govinda was a miserable TRP performer from day one.

3. Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai (2002)

So, one fine day, Madhuri Dixit decided to make her debut with a very cringe-worthy shaadi show, Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai. The concept of showcasing arranged marriages on TV, with the very pretty Madhuri offering some advice, surprisingly, did not go down too well with the Indian audience.

4. India's Best Cinestars Ki Khoj (2004)

This was a show that was supposed to help India find its next TV superstar and also guide them through their acting journey. Many a stars like Ankita Lokhande, Divyanka Tripathi, Sarwar Ahuja and Aditi Sharma were found thanks to this show; however, it failed to grip audiences and its journey ended with a single season.

5. Business Baazigar (2005)

This show set out to find some of the best businessmen in India and help them in their corporate journey. Despite having a decent concept, the show failed. Well, at least they were trying way back in 2005!

6. Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hai? (2008)

Hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, the show was the Indian version of ‘Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?’ True to its name, it had people come in and answer questions that a class 5 student would know.

7. Naya Roop Nayi Zindagi (2008)

This show, hosted by Mona Singh attempted to give a complete makeover to common people. Unfortunately, the show only managed to survive for 10 episodes.

8. Perfect Bride (2009)

Honestly, with that name, we are kind of glad the show didn't do too well! Taking a cue from the American reality show Momma's Boy, the show had 11 potential brides and five bridegrooms participating in the show. The potential brides had to choose one boy and impress his mother to win the title of the ‘Perfect Bride’. Erm, no thanks!

9. MTV Girls Night Out (2010)

Nope this wasn't about a girl gang having fun! The show aimed to take female contestants to haunted areas, wire the place and wait for some paranormal activity. Yep, not working for us either!

10. Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout (2011)

Again, another really successful American reality show, ‘Wipeout’, inspired this Indian version that was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. The show managed to survive for only 15 episodes.
